Kappal Neram Pipeline is a command-line program run locally by one person on their own computer. It has no server, no database and no other users.
With the operator's consent, the program signs in to a single Google account in order to act on that account's own YouTube channel. It requests only these permissions:
youtube.upload — to upload video files to that channelyoutube.force-ssl — to set the title, description, tags, thumbnail
and visibility of videos it has uploadedyt-analytics.readonly — to read view counts and traffic sources for
that channel's own videosAfter sign-in, Google returns an access token. That token is written to a
file called token.json on the operator's own computer, so that the
program does not have to ask for sign-in again each time it runs. This file
never leaves that computer.
Audio files, images, rendered videos and the text written for each video are likewise stored only on the operator's own computer.
This application's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Access can be withdrawn at any time at
myaccount.google.com/permissions.
Deleting token.json removes the stored credential from the computer.
Doing either stops the program from being able to reach the account.
The stored token is kept until it expires or is deleted. There is no other retained Google user data.
